Stockholm based artist Joanne Grüne-Yanoff has been exhibiting extensively in the US and abroad since the 1990s. Grüne-Yanoff employs a variety of media to tell stories of hidden urges and secret desires. In exhibitions that interweave sound, video, photo-based images, sculpture, and words, Grüne-Yanoff immerses the viewer in a poetic as delicate as it is tenacious.Her work is held in a number of important public and private collections, including The Albright Knox Museum, NY, Liljevalchs Konsthalle, Stockholm, Sweden, and the Ginny Williams Foundation, Colorado.

Miller IFAC / International Fine Arts Consortium March 4 – May 3, 2015 Joanne Grüne-Yanoff, Between the Skin and the Prop. The artist exchanges ideas with the scholar Monica L. Miller, who writes her a letter after seeing an exhibition of her work in Stockholm, Sweden. The point of inception is the artist’s video, \"Fly!\". An extended dialogue - encompassing video, sculpture, images and letters - unfolds between the two researchers, forming a vibrant exchange of new artworks and ideas. Touching upon race, place, oppression and liberation, the conversation becomes a meditation on what it is to be human. Stockholm based artist Joanne Grüne-Yanoff has been exhibiting extensively in the US and abroad since the 1990s.
